This primitive Uncle Sam hat was handmade by me using an antique cutter quilt. This piece measures 5 1/4" tall x 6" wide at the widest part of the brim. I rag stuffed the hat to help it stand and give it a more primitive look and feel. I added a strip of blue and tan plaid homespun around the base of the hat. The quilt used to create this piece shows its age and use with some staining and fraying.

All of my pieces are created in my smoke free sewing studio.
