Primitive Fall Stitchery Pocket Hanger W/ Pumpkin Flag | Handmade Fall Decor
This primitive wall pocket hanger was handmade using an old cedar board that I wrapped with fabric and created a pocket from. I filled the pocket with faux flowers. On the front of the pocket I handstitched a fall scene featuring a crow, pumpkin and squash using a pattern from Buttermilk Basin. I backed the stitchery with green wool felt. I also made a little fall flag with a wool pumpkin handstitched onto a piece of mustard and tan check homespun that I stitched to a twig and tucked inside the pocket as well. The flag is completely removable from the pocket. This piece measures 18" long x 7 1/2" wide without the flag, with the flag it is 15". It is only about 1" thick so this could easily be displayed on a door with a screen door.
